Texas State Aquarium Caribbean Wing Expansion

Chip Urban, of Urban Civil, was part of the team that designed the Caribbean Wing Expansion for the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi. The expansion brought the sights, sounds and unique wildlife of the Western Caribbean to one of the nation’s premiere aquariums. Chip led a team that designed the new expansion and coordinated with all of the design disciplines and construction contractor. Specifically, his team was responsible for:

• Replatting several adjacent properties owned by TSA, the City and the Port in to one lot
• Paving design
• Utility design including water, wastewater, drainage, gas and coordination for electric service
• Construction administration services
